How It Works

Three inputs. One plan built around your deadline.

Dunk By doesn't hand you a generic jump program. It works backward from your goal date and forward from where you are today.

01

Pick your goal

Choose what you're training for — touch the rim, grab the rim, or dunk — and tell us your age.

02

Pick your Dunk By date

Choose the date you want to dunk by. That timeline sets the pace of every phase in your plan.

03

Get your program

Receive a periodized plyometric and strength plan, broken into weekly training blocks.

04

Train and track

Follow the plan, log your progress, and watch your vertical close the gap to your goal.

Features

Built around how vertical is actually trained

Every part of the plan is tied back to your age, your starting point, and your deadline — not a one-size-fits-all workout.

01 — Programming

Personalized Programming

Your plan is generated from your goal, age, and target date — not a static template.

02 — Coaching

21 Coached Exercises

Every movement comes with video and image demonstrations plus coaching guidance, so you're never guessing at form.

03 — Foundation

Plyometrics + Strength

Daily workouts prescribe sets, reps, and rest periods, with built-in recovery days so power gains actually stick.

04 — Timeline

Deadline-Driven Periodization

Your target date sets the phases — base, build, and peak — so training builds toward your goal.

05 — Tracking

4-Week Progress Retests

Re-test your vertical every four weeks to see exactly how far you've closed the gap to your goal.

06 — Compete

Dunk By Score

Compare your training progress with friends and teammates on a built-in leaderboard.

FAQ

Questions we hear a lot

Is Dunk By available yet?

Yes — Dunk By is live now, free to download on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision.

Who is Dunk By for?

Basketball players from middle school through professional levels working toward touching the rim, grabbing the rim, or dunking. Programs use age-appropriate progressions, so there's no fixed age requirement, though we recommend it for teens and adults training under appropriate supervision.

Is Dunk By free?

Dunk By is free to download with a full training program included. An optional Pro upgrade unlocks additional features.

What is the Dunk By Score?

It's a leaderboard built into the app that lets you compare your training progress with friends and teammates.

Do I need any equipment?

Most of the plyometric work uses bodyweight and a hoop or mark to jump toward. Strength sessions are more effective with basic gym access, but the app is designed to work with minimal equipment too.

Is this safe?

Plyometric and strength training carry real injury risk if progressed too quickly. Dunk By paces training conservatively with built-in recovery days, but it isn't a substitute for medical advice — please read our health disclaimer and talk to a doctor before starting.

What other apps is Do It By building?

Dunk By is first. Do It By is exploring other goal-and-deadline driven apps — see the roadmap, or get in touch if you have an idea.
